David Nelson
President
General Manager
David L. Nelson is currently the President of Wasatch Credit Association. Dave graduated from the University of Utah in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication, and from Utah State University in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He is the former President of KLM Capital, an Oregon-based commercial real estate lender. He was the President of KLM Capital from 2005-2012. Prior to that, he was president of DSN Inc., a firm based in Portland, Oregon that specialized in fixed income investments. David resides in Portland, Oregon, managing the Portland Branch area where he enjoys working in his garden and restoring his 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. NMLS # 288433
Michael Nelson
Regional Manager
Michael D. Nelson is the Regional Manager. He graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and emphasized in Finance. Michael is currently living in the Portland, Oregon area where he enjoys playing basketball and exploring the outdoors. NMLS # 1142138
Ashley
Director of Operations
Ashley is the Director of Operations. She grew up in Driggs, Idaho, and is a recent of graduate of BYU-Idaho. In addition to overseeing and coordinating the day to day operations of the office, Ashley also assists in our Human Resources Department, Payroll, and Client Relationships. In her spare time Ashley enjoys cycling and is a fitness enthusiast.
Sherrie Nelson
CFO
Chairman
Sherrie L. Nelson is currently the Chairman and CFO of Wasatch Credit Association. She grew up in Brigham City, Utah and attended Utah State University in Logan. She is the former CFO of KLM Capital, and served in that position from 2005-2012. She is the mother of three children and is an accomplished pianist.
Ashley Bengtzen
Branch Manager
Ashley Bengtzen is the Branch Manager at the Bountiful, Utah branch. She received her degree from Weber State University. Ashley handles the day to day operations of the branch. Ashley grew up in Roy, UT and is currently living in South Jordan, UT. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with
family.
Lindsey
Marketing Specialist
Lindsey currently serves as the Marketing Specialist for Wasatch Credit Association. Her duties include formulating, directing, and coordinating marketing activities and policies to promote products and services in the Utah markets. She has extensive experience in renovating and rehabbing homes.
